ABOUT THE POSITION

The School Business Administrator is responsible for ensuring that all of the business and financial operations are aligned with the school’s mission, corresponding regulations, and best practices in financial management.

Purchasing and Finance
- Manage the budget development process
- Oversees school-based purchasing of all materials, uniforms, equipment, supplies, books, etc.
- Planning, preparation, and implementation of the annual school budget and in long-term planning of funds management

Business Office Support
- Handle all aspects of the school’s business affairs and operations

Food Services
- Complete all administrative tasks required by the Child Nutrition Program
- Manage the annual school lunch application preparation and completion procedures

Human Resources
- Assist in the onboarding process of new hires

Payroll
- Directly responsible for managing all aspects of the payroll process.

Board Relations
- Attend all regular and special board meetings
- Preparation of Board meeting items

Qualifications
- New Jersey School Business Administrator certification or eligibility
- MBA/MS in Finance or CPA certification
- Five years of experience in accounting, finance, or related fields
- Experience in managing accounting systems in an educational setting preferred
- Advanced technological proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong commitment to the mission and vision of Roseville Community Charter School
