Roseville Community Charter School is seeking an experienced Data and Technology Coordinator to join its school community!

Founded in 2011, Roseville Community Charter School was created to provide a high quality, college preparatory education to students in the Roseville neighborhood of Newark, NJ. Our mission is to prepare every student for academic excellence while providing a warm, nurturing environment in which all children are supported and thrive. Position: Data and Technology Coordinator

About the Opportunity
The position is responsible for analyzing and interpreting assessment data as it relates to individual student achievement and to the performance of the school. The position is responsible for maintaining accurate and confidential data files of student achievement and will work to support data literacy training for teachers and administrators in the use data to improve instruction. This position is responsible for the overall maintenance and coordination of service on all school technology in order to ensure smooth instructional and operational practices throughout the school.


Responsibilities

Data Coordination

  • Analyze and prepare reports from local and national assessment data as it relates to individual student performance and school improvement.
  • Develop and maintain historical student and school data files to monitor and track performance.
  • Interpret and review assessment data with administrators and teachers; support planning of action steps
  • Compile data from multiple assessments to develop student, subject, grade-level, or school achievement profiles.
  • Ensure the validity of all data presented to staff.
  • Attend, and lead as appropriate, training sessions and site meetings related to assigned responsibilities.

Technology Management & Support

  • Develop/update, along with Director of Operations, the school technology plan.
  • Install, manage, and troubleshoot all information technology. Includes laptops, computers, printers, projectors, interactive whiteboards, servers.
  • Manage user emails, website subscriptions, logins, etc.
  • Support student information system (Powerschool/PowerTeacher).
  • Maintain and update school website.
  • Train staff on technology use and implementation.
  • Assist in identifying technology needs and completing a needs assessment.
  • Arrive at school each day by 7:15 a.m. and leave no earlier than 5:00 p.m.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the School Director or Principal

Qualifications and Certifications

  • Strong commitment to the school’s mission
  • Firm belief in the ability of all students to achieve at high levels, and high expectations for low-income children to become college ready and attend selective universities
  • Two years of work experience at least one of which is data entry or a year of work directly related to a computer system which requires knowledge of editing and completing source data or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of technology related experience in K-12 education
  • Demonstrates effective skills in technology problem solving, communications, organization, planning, and record keeping.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with hardware and software troubleshooting in Windows and Chrome Books.
  • Be familiar with NJ State data collections, Power School (i.e. NJSmart, PARCC, etc.)
  • Successfully completes required criminal history check and has proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Director may find appropriate and acceptable.
