Description
Office/Operations Assistant
The role of a strong Office Assistant is imperative in the overall success of Roseville Community Charter School. This person will help set and communicate a positive tone, and will be responsible for supporting and maintaining school systems and structures.
Responsibilities:
Office Duties
- Believe in the school mission that all students should be prepared to access college and professional careers
- Maintain positive relationships with students, families, and staff
- Serve as a general office assistant by distributing, tracking and maintaining inventory of school supplies
- Perform reception duties such as answering phones, door, and mail correspondence, other administrative duties include, typing, filing, photocopying, scheduling, school mailings, data entry, etc. as needed
- Support the main office reception desk as needed
- Assist with attendance and tardiness of students
- Collect and enter data into administrative databases
- Assist and support system to file all important school documents
Purchasing and Supply Management
- Track, inventory, and distribute all orders and supplies
- Assist with the replenishment, upkeep and maintenance of the supply closet
Technology
- Troubleshoot technology equipment (computer laptops, interactive whiteboards, Elmos, iPads, printers)
- Initiate and track service calls for technology equipment
- Work with tech company to ensure computers are up-to-date and functioning
Daily Operations
- Assist with coordination of school events and program logistics
- Assist with E-rate process
- Assist Food Service Assistant during lunch periods
- Complete other responsibilities as the School Director, School Business Administrator or Director of Operations may request
Qualifications and Certifications
- College degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an administrative assistant
- Proficiency in all Microsoft applications
- Proper English usage, grammar, spelling and punctuation
- Knowledge of modern office methods and equipment, including computer terminals, hardware, software, printers, copiers, and telecommunications (fax, phone, e-mail)
- Strong organizational skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Detail oriented, with excellent organization skills
- Ability to compose correspondence independently
- Ability to apply policies and procedures related to assigned duties and responsibilities
- Prior experience in urban communities preferred
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Openness to feedback, willingness to take personal responsibility, and a desire to learn from others
